We are aware of a scam circulating in your area. 

A homeowner in Painswick was targeted in their front garden on the morning of Saturday 10th February by two males who told them that the driveway on their property is in needed a clean and sealing. The homeowner refused but they continued to persist and showed a leaflet claiming they were 'elegant cleaning and home improvement services' that cleaned roofs and driveways.  

As she went to speak to a neighbour the males had started cleaning without her permission and said the job would cost more than anticipated. The homeowner felt intimidated so let them continue with the work. They asked for cash and left without providing a genuine receipt.  
 

The two men, who are described as one in their 60's, heavy build and grey hair and the other in their 20's, slim build with dark hair. They both had a non-local accent. They arrived in an unmarked white van with another young male sat inside. 

Please help us raise awareness of this scam by informing your elderly or vulnerable relatives, friends and neighbours.
