Police investigating Cheltenham coffee shop burglary issue CCTV image

Officers investigating a burglary at a coffee shop in Cheltenham have issued a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the incident.

Police were called to The Green Coffee Machine on Queen’s Road after a delivery driver discovered the door to premises had been forced open.

At around 5.20am on Friday 16 February it is believed an unknown offender broke the lock on the door before taking a cash tray containing £30 in coins from the till and £800 from the safe.

The cash tray and coins were recovered shortly after the incident took place.

A man was seen near the premises at the time of the incident and is described as 5ft 10ins tall and of a skinny build. He was wearing a fishing-style camouflage jacket with the hood up.

Following a number of enquiries, officers have now released a CCTV image of the man in a bid to identify him and are asking anybody who recognises him to come forward.

Anybody who may have information but who has not already spoken to police is also being asked to make contact.

Information can be provided by contacting Gloucestershire Constabulary through the website, quoting incident 55 of 16 February: https://www.gloucestershire.police.uk/contact/af/contact-us/us/a-crime-that-has-already-been-reported/
