  • Victim was selling a bike via. Facebook market place, buyer called round to collect the bike, showed photos of the bank transfer taking place, bike taken from the victims home and then no monies were ever received. Buyer has now disappeared from Facebook. Dark Green Carrera Vengeance stolen.   Incident 0085 of 17/09/2024 refers.

    Please make sure when selling items from social media that you are clear payment has been received before letting the items leave your possession – always check with your own bank or opt for cash payments. 

     

    Please don't hesitate to call the police if you witness suspicious activity and always dial 999 if you believe a crime is taking place.
