Three arrested after boy, 14, assaulted on Golden Close, Tuffley

We're appealing for witnesses, information and CCTV footage after an incident on Golden Close yesterday (Sunday 17 November).

Two teenage boys and a man have been arrested in connection with the incident in Tuffley.

At around 5.45pm we were called with a report that a group of males who had been on bikes and scooters attacked a 14-year-old boy.

Officers attended, including armed police and with support from the National Police Air Service, and there was a comprehensive search to try and locate the offenders.

The victim was taken to hospital by paramedics with a head wound and leg injuries. He remains there today (Monday).

The group involved were described as wearing face coverings, dark clothing and backpacks. After the attack they fled in the direction of Homeleigh Park.

It is not known whether any weapons were used in the incident, and it is believed that those involved are known to each other.

Armed officers attended addresses across Gloucester later in the evening and two boys aged 14 and 15, and an 18-year-old man, were arrested on suspicion of affray. The 15-year-old was also arrested on suspicion of the possession of class B drugs.

They all remain in custody for questioning.

House to house enquiries have taken place and further investigative work is ongoing.
