Overnight Thursday 13th into Friday 14th March 2025 a property in Lower Swell near Stow-on-the-Wold was burgled. The offender is suspected of gaining entry to the home by prizing open a window latch on the ground floor. Kitchen drawers and cupboards were search until the offender located the keys to the victims Land Rover Discovery which was parked outside the home. The vehicle was stolen but fortunately located later in the day by Police and recovered from a street in Winchcombe. We suspect the thief or thieves parked up the stolen car temporarily to see if it contained a tracking device.

We are appealing for information from any residents in Lower Swell who may have seen anyone acting suspiciously in the village. The between times for the burglary are 9pm on the 13th to 6:30am on the 14th.
